As many of you know, we have been together for a little over 10 years now. We have grown together, challenged one another, and learned valuable life lessons from one another; all the while remaining best friends.

The Wedding

Our wedding is all about the feeling of levity. We wish to you offer you a fun-filled evening of lawn games, light fare and libations.
Dress is casual wedding attire.

Nevada City

For you out of towners Nevada City, California was originally a mining camp founded in 1849, and quickly became one of the largest, wealthiest mining towns in the state. Once the gold began to wane, miners left in search of new claims and the city began to settle into a quiet existence. The downtown area reflects the history of the settlement, with businesses themed after mining.

Sacramento International Airport is the closest airport ( 1hr) or the Reno-Tahoe International Airport (1½ hr); we also recommend renting a car, as transportation is limited in Nevada City.

Things to do

• Downtown Nevada City & Grass Valley boast many local eateries, wine tasting rooms and many historical sites, including The Nevada Theater, which is the oldest operating theater in California.
• The Yuba River is one of Nevada City's treasures. Swim, hike, boulder-jump, pan for gold, or just sit on the rocks and enjoy the sun. We can tell you how to get to the best beaches!
• Empire Mine is the site of the oldest, largest, and richest gold mine in California. From 1850 to its closing in 1956, it produced 5.8 million ounces of gold. The Park contains many of the original mine buildings, the owners cottage and the restored gardens and grounds as well as the entrance to 367 miles of abandoned and flooded shafts and tunnels.
• Malakoff Diggins Historic State Park is the site of California's largest "hydraulic" mine. Visitors can see huge cliffs carved by mighty streams of water, results of the gold mining technique of washing away entire mountains to find the precious metal. Legal battles between mine owners and downstream farmers ended this method.
• Truckee is a small town (¾ hr) near Nevada City. It has been expanding rapidly and boasts many delicious restaurants and a quaint downtown with shops, bars and chocolate.
• Tahoe is also close (1½ hr), if you don't know anything about Tahoe then you should go.
